None of the products in the Slow-Mag range are certified halaal.

Regarding ingredients of animal origin: The capsules in Slow-Mag Capsules contain gelatine (bovine). Slow-Mag Tablets and Slow-Mag Effervescent Tablets (Fizzies) do not contain ingredients of animal origin/source. Refer to list of product ingredients.

Slow-Mag Capsules contain Magnesium Lysinate Glycinate Chelate 450 mg equivalent to 45 mg elemental magnesium. The other ingredients are: Magnesium Stearate and Colloidal Silicon Dioxide. The Capsules are composed of gelatine (bovine), sodium lauryl sulphate, purified water and colourants (titanium dioxide, erythrosine & quinoline yellow).

Slow-Mag Tablets contain Magnesium Chloride 535 mg, corresponding to 64 mg elemental magnesium. The other ingredients are: Calcium carbonate, povidone, alcohol, talc, magnesium stearate, polyvinyl acetyl phthalate, stearic acid, diethyl phthalate, titanium dioxide, ponceau 4R aluminium lake (colourant), Erythrosine aluminium lake (colourant).

Slow-Mag Effervescent Tablets (Fizzies) contain Magnesium carbonate corresponding to 172 mg elemental magnesium and 150 mg Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The other ingredients are: Sodium hydrogen carbonate, citric acid, malic acid, starch, strawberry flavouring, Acesulfame-K, saccharine sodium, colouring agent E122.

All formats contain magnesium and are indicated for magnesium supplementation. They are available in different dosage dorms which cater to preference, e.g. Slow-Mag Fizzies is dissolved in water which makes it convenient for patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

Slow-Mag is used for the management of magnesium deficiency.

Slow-Mag is a magnesium supplement. Magnesium plays an important role in various processes in your body as well as energy production.

Slow-Mag Capsules: take one to two capsules daily.

Slow-Mag Fizzies: take one fizzy tablet daily, dissolved in water.

Slow-Mag Tablets: take 2 – 4 tablets daily (2 tablets in the morning, 2 tablets at night)

Slow-Mag is used for the management of magnesium deficiency. The recommended daily allowance for magnesium is 320 mg for adult females and 420 mg for adult males.

The recommended daily allowance for magnesium is 320 mg for adult females and 420 mg for adult males. If you are taking a multivitamin as well, it is important to ensure that the combines amount of magnesium in Slow-Mag and the multi-vitamin does not exceed the stipulated recommended allowance.

Slow-Mag is magnesium supplement. There is no stipulated/recommended time of day to take Slow-Mag.

Slow-Mag Fizzies and Slow-Mag Tablets do not contain any ingredients of animal origin and may therefore be recommended for use in vegetarians and vegans.

Slow-Mag Capsules, Fizzies, and Tablets do not contain any wheat/corn derivatives. Slow-Mag Fizzies contain corn-starch which does not contain gluten.

None of the products in the Slow Mag range contain sugar, lactose or yeast.

Artificial sweeteners: Slow Mag Fizzies (effervescent tablets) contain acesulfame-K and saccharine sodium.

Colourants: All 3 products in the Slow-Mag range contain colourants as per list of product ingredients.
